Executive Chef Isidro Barroso is a native of the Mexican State of Oaxaca, the southern most State with beaches on both The Pacific Ocean and The Gulf of Mexico.
From this beautiful region comes a style of cooking that is more Native than Spanish, with emphasis on fresh fruits, flavorful fish, and sweet mole.
Cabos is a small restaurant half way down Old Fisherman's Wharf on the right hand side. As with all Shake Family Restaurants, Cabo's serves only sustainable seafood, caught in a manner that does not harm the environment.
The restaurant looks out on the Monterey Marina, and almost every day diners get to see California Sea Otters playing in the waters within a few feet of the building.
Cabo's is also a perfect place for group functions - it's intimate size means that a party - wedding, private or corporate can take the entire restaurant for the evening.
