The Number One Whale Watching Company on the Monterey Bay!
Join Benji, Capt. Leon Oliver, A.J. and our team of professional naturalists on an adventure into the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, the worlds largest protected body of water.
Our vessel is the USCG inspected and certified Magnum Force, the largest and most comfortable Whale Watching Vessel out of Monterey. Our Capitan, Capt. Leon Oliver, has 25 years of Whale Watching experience, and vast knowledge of the Monterey Bay, the submarine canyon under the Bay's waters, and the habits of the large variety of whales and other marine life that inhabit the Monterey Bay.
Tours last three hours, and leave from Old Fisherman's Wharf daily at 10am and 1pm.
All of our tours are narrated by professional marine naturalists and and/or Capitan Leon. You can expect to see whales on each trip, with different species as the seasons change.
December through April the California Grey Whale migration passes the mouth of the Bay, as they proceed on the longest migration pattern of any creature on earth- from frigid Artic waters to Baja and then back.
In April, the Humpbacks start to arrive in the Bay, feeding from the upwelling canyon waters that are rich in krill, tiny shrimp-like creatures.
May brings in the mighty Blue Whales, the largest creatures ever to live on Earth! Also, Fin Whales (the second largest creature ever) and Minke Whales join the playful Humpbacks. These whales remain in the area through November.
